Be a Brilliant Person Tips #1: Celebrate Your Strengths

Perhaps you've been told, "You can be anything you put your mind to." or "Work hard, and you will get far in life." Both are very positive and encouraging words to hear from our parents, family members or close friends.

Nonetheless, we may not have the slightest clue as to where to begin.

time for a career change

Some of us devote all our time and energy in getting straight A's in school, making our parents proud, or perhaps like me, followed the crowd that would accelerate my popularity at school. However, truth be told, just surviving the obstacles thrown our way in school can be considered one of our most notable challenges and achievements.

All the while, we ask ourselves, "What's next?"

Discovering your strengths and unique characteristics will help you strengthen your confidence and lead you to the next steps in your professional life.

Post-secondary school enrolment

“Finding out what your strengths are will help you make better and more informed decisions that will save time and money."

Let's be honest, post-secondary education costs are on the rise, much like everything else. Regrettably, salary stayed much less the same or arguably worse in some fields. Recent studies in 2021 suggest that 2 out of 5 Americans don't see the value of their college degree, and 40% of gradates aren't using their degree at all.

Ministry of Health Government reports that 1 out of 4 Canadians has some degree of depression serious enough to need treatment. Meanwhile, ages 18 - 39 reported to having highest levels. Ultimately, knowing your strengths will set you up for success in not only your career path, but also your personal life.
