Be a Brilliant Person Tips #3: Knowing Your Core Values

You have likely heard the "importance of knowing your core values" from peers or the abundance of online sources through Google search.

In this blog, I will not focus on the vast benefits of knowing your values; instead, I will share two client testimonies that panned out successfully as a result of recognizing and putting into practice their own core values.

In 2019, I had the privilege of working with Bella. During our first meet and greet, Bella and I collaborated to identify how she would benefit the best in my career expertise and services. She was convinced in the power of discovering core values and how this newly found awareness could help accomplish a number of positive life-long pursuits.

In time, Bella was able to make a dream into a reality by mustering up the will-power to launch and host a virtual social meet-up group. The model was built on self-esteem, accomplishments, hope and resilience. As a direct result, Bella was able to recognize the career choices that aligned to some of her core values, which are necessary for success in sustainability and work-life balance.

"Value-driven life will light the way toward a meaningful and satisfying life.”

In the year of 2021, Aiden was another client I had the reward of coaching. Aiden was a teenager who recently graduated from high school. Lacking purpose, he goes to sleep whenever he wants and wakes up whenever he chooses. As time when by, Aiden reached out in hopes of identifying suitable employment through self discovery. Aiden and I were able to draw out a individualized plan that was geared towards setting him up for success.

Aiden was able to rekindle the small fire in his heart. By spending the time to grasp who he is and what values he stands by, he stood in the belief that he would no longer wake-up with a lack of purpose.

Wake-Up With Purpose

Fast-forward, Aiden routinely wakes up at 6:00 in the morning. Now, he is able to work alongside like-minded individuals who share his core values of helping others through compassion, growth and challenge.

Why Knowing Your Values Is The Key To Career Fulfilment

Rather than reinventing the wheel, I will provide an enriching article from William Arruda that focuses on personal branding and the benefits of knowing your values.
